Survivor's Code
Read carefully. Ignorance of the rules won't protect you from the horde... or Administration.
Survivor Rules (In-game)
Game version:Build 42
Mode:PvE
Difficulty:Hard
IMPORTANT: BUILD 42
We play on the experimental branch. Staff will NOT restore items, vehicles, or animals lost due to game bugs (unless you have solid video proof).
I. Respect & Community
- Personal conduct:The apocalypse is no excuse for rudeness. Insults, hate speech, harassment, and spam are forbidden.
- Staff decisions:Administrators have final say. Disputes are handled via Discord tickets, not public in-game chat.
- Zero tolerance for cheaters:External software (cheats, scripts) or macros giving an advantage = permanent ban.
II. Property Protection (PvE)
- Property protection:Despite disabled PvP, destroying others' property is strictly forbidden — including vehicles and stealing animals from pens.
- No griefing:"Creative" disruption is banned: blocking roads, herding hordes to others' bases, trapping players in rooms.
- Respect loot:Don't destroy containers (cabinets, crates) unless necessary. Destroyed containers won't respawn for anyone. Don't litter — drop trash on corpses.
III. Bases & Building
- Safehouse (SH):No raiding or entering others' locked bases. Map glitch infiltration = ban. Inactivity beyond the set limit removes claims.
- Animals:No mass breeding exploits to cause server lag.
IV. Factions & Gameplay
- Lore & immersion:We aim for a 90s atmosphere. No meme/slang faction names. Names and traits should feel serious/realistic. Troll groups will be removed.
- Character names:Dear survivors! For a more immersive Knox County experience, please use a first and last name for your character (e.g., John Smith). When your character dies, choose a new identity — do not continue the same persona indefinitely. We do not accept "gamer" tags (e.g., mixu, mixu mixu) or internet aliases.
- Profanity:Profane character names or faction names result in removal.
- Bug exploiting:Found an exploit? Report it. Use it quietly = ban.
V. Automatic Character Portraits
- How it works:Shortly after you join the server, the DZH Portrait Capture mod takes a screenshot of the game window only (it is technically unable to capture your desktop or other applications) and crops a small fragment (~160×160 px) containing your character's in-game model, rendered by the mod in the corner of the screen.
- Publication:The cropped image is sent to the game server and published as your character's portrait on its card at zomboid.pl. It is overwritten with a fresh one on subsequent joins.
- Privacy:Only this fragment of the game image is transmitted — no other data is read from or sent off your computer. In rare cases the frame may include a piece of the game's UI.
- Custom portrait:You can replace the portrait with your own image in the website panel at any time — a manually set image takes precedence and is never overwritten.
- Opt-out:If you don't want an automatic portrait, contact the staff on Discord and we will disable or delete it for your character.
- Legal basis:We process the portrait under our legitimate interest (maintaining character cards) — it is not a condition of playing. You may disable or delete it at any time.
VI. PvP & Robberies
- Robbing a player:During a robbery you may demand items, take a portion of their gear, or attack if the player resists. Give the other person a chance to react, unless it is already an open fight.
- Forbidden behavior (PvP):You must not: attack players in the bunker and other safe zones, block exits from starting zones, lure hordes to other people's bases, exploit game bugs during combat, log out to avoid defeat (combat log), or repeatedly hunt the same new character.
VII. The zomboid.pl portal & your account
- Account & sign-in:You create a portal account by signing in with Discord (OAuth). Using the portal and submitting a server access application means you accept these rules and the privacy policy. The portal is a non-commercial service provided on a best-effort basis (no uptime guarantee).
- Age:The server and portal are intended for adults or players aged 16+ — Project Zomboid is a violent game (PEGI 18).
- User content:Authors are responsible for content they publish on the portal (applications, bulletin board, market, tickets, portraits). Unlawful, offensive or rights-infringing content is forbidden. Staff may moderate and remove content that violates the rules.
- Account suspension:Breaking the rules may result in losing access to the game server or the portal account. You can appeal via Ticket → Appeal.
- Account deletion:You can delete your account yourself in panel settings (irreversible — see the privacy policy for the exact scope of removed data).
- Complaints & contact:Report portal issues via the ticket system or gtamixrp@gmail.com — we usually reply within a few days. Staff may amend these rules; significant changes will be announced on Discord.

Penalty Scale & Fair Play
Level 1🟢 Warning
Level 2🟡 Mute / Kick
Level 3🟠 Temporary ban
Level 4🔴 Permanent ban
Rules can't cover every situation. Staff reserve the right to punish behavior that clearly violates Fair Play and harms the community. No specific rule doesn't mean no thinking required!
